Dear Friend,
Hi. My name is Renée Fishman.
I'm an author, speaker, coach, award-winning NYC real estate broker, attorney, stand-up comedian, trapeze artist, and all around renaissance woman.
I publish a daily blog at MyMeadowReport.com, where I write about holistic productivity, navigating transition, habit change, and other crucial life topics. I take the esoteric and make it practical.
I help creative and service-driven solopreneurs go from paralysis to productivity by creating sustainable systems that foster calm, clarity, and deeper connection.
Let's discuss the obvious:
In today's world, the hardest habit to break is the pull of the ping.
Email. Social Media. Text Messages. App Notifications.
Each of them pulls us away from our purpose, away from our calling, and towards a life of distraction and reaction.
The result?
We feel overwhelmed, overworked, overtired and just over it.
We feel stuck, stagnant and struggling.
We easily become hijacked by our emotions, we get lost down rabbit holes of internet research and comparison fueled by social media.
And we live in reaction to everyone else's needs.
I know this because I've experienced it.
I found myself so caught up in reacting to the needs of others that I put myself last. Eventually, I burned out. That was after I thought I learned the lessons of self-care during recovery from a brain injury.
What I learned is that this state is no way to run a business, let alone live a life.
I wanted to feel alive again. I wanted to feel like I was working for something important to me, not just urgent for those I serve.
So I started some experiments in my personal lab, aka my life. Slowly, I found ways to create space for my best work. In that space, I began to get clear on the value of what I offer to my clients and the world.
I decided to stop settling for less than I was worth. I stood in the value of my work. I said no unless I really wanted to say yes.
This allowed me to serve my clients with 100% presence. How loved do you think they feel?
Most important, I started to feel better. Each time I stand firm in commitment to delivering my best work, I come alive again.
This work is transformational.
I knew I had to share it with others, so I started seeking out other creative and service-driven entrepreneurs, just like you.
People who really care not just about selling their work, but about truly making a difference for others. I learned we all suffer from the same limiting belief: that serving clients means sacrificing ourselves.
What if that doesn't have to be true?
What if serving yourself first allowed you to serve your clients better?
